Many of these fresh vegetables can be pan fried in grapeseed oil – even with a little corn meal breading…. making them more palatable to youngsters used to french fries. What would your response to this be? Of course, steaming or some such cooking method is “healthier”, but if your choices are : might as well not even try to get the kids to eat this “stuff” or cook it this way for them…..

Well… I would first recommend that you don’t let your kids get used to french fries in the first place! But if it’s already happened then yes, I would ease them into these “new” foods.. Some is better than none and Sometimes is better than never. A lot of kids will eat veggies with Ranch dressing- better than not eating veggies, just try to limit the quantity and continue looking for alternatives that they do like. Also, TALK to them- educate them about WHY you want to eat healthy foods- why they are important and what it means for them.
